One should must try to keep these things in mind when contacting professors for acceptance letters/ scholarships/ funds etc..

A) First of all keep in mind that you should ask for "Acceptance Letter" (in case of university or government scholarship), it's not supporting letter but acceptance lette, in some cases it was observed that some candidates ask about supporting letter.

B) Second thing, look carefully professor's profile and mention professor's full name, not only Sir or Madam in email.

C) Third, mention your all previous attended institutes with degrees and grades/ CGPA as well, mean don't only write as Bachelors, Maters etc but also mention from which institute Bachelors was completed and from where Masters etc, as well as mention that how much you got CGPA. Also mention position in class if you got any of top 5 positions.

D) Fourth, do not ever mention that I wanna get admission/ scholarship in any university but say about that specific university where professor is working and also say that I wanna do work under your kind supervision or something like that.

E) Fifth, many students contact professors without reading their profiles and research work, it's bad impact to say I can work in any field, because every professor has different area and one can't deal with all.

F) Sixth, don't say anything bad about your country or previouse attended institute, like my country don't have enough facilities and my institute have not good labs etc.

Guys keep these things in mind and surely you will get good and positive response from professors.
