Several PhD positions in the areas of fatigue and fracture of conventional and additive manufactured alloys are available in the Fatigue and Fracture Research Laboratory in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Memphis.
The PhD students are expected to conduct fatigue and fracture tests and perform finite element, crack growth, and fatigue life prediction analyses.
Benefits
The positions will be fully supported for their tuition and stipend.
Candidates should be self-motivated and have degree(s) in mechanical engineering, materials science and engineering, or other closely related disciplines.
